UBSCT TEST
The Utah Legislature mandated that students, starting with the class of 2006, must pass the Utah Basic Skills Competency Tests (UBSCT) in order to receive a Basic High School Diploma.
Students who do not pass all the components of the test may receive an Alternative Completion Diploma if they provide documentation of at last three attempts to take all subtests of the UBSCT.
The UBSCT covers three content areas: reading, writing, and mathematics. Students must achieve a score of 160 or higher on each of the three subtests to pass.

AP TEST
AP can change your life. Through college-level AP courses, you enter a universe of knowledge that might other wise remain unexplored in high school; through AP Exams, you have the opportunity to earn credit or advanced standing at most of the nation’s colleges and universities.

Enrollment:
To enroll, choose an AP class. To take the test, order the test in February. Take test in May. Score higher 3 or higher to receive college credit.
ACT/SAT TEST
The ACT® test assesses high school students' general educational development and their ability to complete college-level work.
The multiple-choice tests cover four skill areas: English, mathematics, reading, and science.
The Writing Test, which is optional, measures skill in planning and writing a short essay.
The ACT test is a 175 minute exam in 4 parts: English (75 questions, 45 minutes), Math (60 questions, 60 minutes), Reading Comprehension (40 questions, 35 minutes), and Science Reasoning (40 questions, 35 minutes). An optional 30 minute writing exam is offered.

CRT TEST
The Criterion-Referenced Tests (CRT) assess the knowledge and skill of students in grades 2 - 11 in the areas of reading, writing, listening, science and social studies as outlined in the Utah Core Curriculum.
These tests are an integral component of U-PASS (Utah Performance Assessment System for Students) and the federal No Child Left Behind legislation.
Based on the belief that reading is critical to all areas of student success, this series of tests incorporates reading passages from a variety of content areas. Students, who have background knowledge from grade level science and social studies concepts, as outlined in the Core Curriculum, will have a greater understanding of the vocabulary and reading material included in these assessments.

PLAN TEST
THIS TEST IS A PRACTICE ACT TEST GIVEN TO SOPHOMORES. IT FORCASTS ACT SCORES AND CONTAINS A CAREER PLANNING COMPONENT.
The test can help students make plans for remaining years of high school and post-graduation years.

PSAT TEST
PSAT/NMSQT stands for Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test. The test is offered to sophomores as practice, and to juniors in order to qualify for National Merit Scholarships.

The Armed Services Vocational Apptitude Battery (ASVAB). No military commitment is required to take this test.
